Domestic abuse and violence have existed for a very long time, but what is really saddening is that in times that we have progressed so much, it still continues to be rampant even in the so-called modern societies. Despite laws in place, cases are still not uncommon, and this week’s reading made me think, how effective the laws really are if violence still exists. The laws in Georgia are much more defined and focused than that of Florida, and it makes the attempt of extending violence to not just physical, but also emotional.
